The Miss Universe Organization will award the new Miss Teen USA a $10,000 scholarship to be applied to continuing education tuition or other education expenses (books, etc.) at an institution of her choice.
A $5,000 cash prize will also be awarded upon the completion of her reign.
Emory & Henry College proudly offers scholarships to the winners of the 2018 Miss North Carolina USA and Miss North Carolina Teen USA pageants, respectively, up to $18,000.00 each per academic year for up to four years of full-time matriculated undergraduate student enrollment. These scholarships will be split between the fall and spring semesters of each academic year and cannot be used for part-time and summer school enrollment.
In addition, Emory & Henry College is offering scholarships to the first and second runners-up of the 2018 Miss North Carolina USA and Miss North Carolina Teen USA pageants, respectively, of up to $10,000.00 each per academic year for up to four years of full-time matriculated undergraduate student enrollment. These scholarships will be split between the fall and spring semesters of each academic year and cannot be used for part-time and summer school enrollment.
The Pageant winners and/or runners-up who wish to utilize these offers must formally apply for admission to Emory & Henry College, meet its criteria for admission, remain in good standing during their period of enrollment, and annually complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form for financial aid.
Scholarships are non-transferable and must be used within two years of the date of the 2018 Miss North Carolina USA and Miss North Carolina Teen USA pageants (September 30, 2017) in which the applicant(s) competed. These scholarships cannot be stacked on top of any other merit or need-based scholarship awards that may otherwise be provided by Emory & Henry College.
Scholarships cannot be applied toward charges for room, board, and fees. Matriculated scholarship recipients must conform to all other Emory & Henry student requirements.
Salon Professional Education Company (SPEC) is proud to announce that it will be offering a variety of scholarships at our participating beauty school franchise locations for contestants and winners of the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA Beauty Pageants nationwide beginning in 2016. Both The Salon Professional Academy (TSPA) and Elevate Salon Institute (ESI) brands of beauty schools will provide scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $5,000 to be applied to cosmetology programs at the location of the students choosing.
Every contestant in the Miss North Carolina USA or Miss North Carolina Teen USA competitions will be eligible to receive $2,000 to be applied toward the cost of their cosmetology tuition at the participating school of their choosing. Winners at each of the 50 state competitions will receive $5,000 scholarships. Winners of Miss USA and Miss Teen USA will be awarded an additional $5,000 for a grand total of $10,000 in scholarship awards.
